I see 3 options.
    1. do nothing.
    2. dumbdown the tests. or,
    3. assist the students in improving their learning                 strategies.

I have been blessed through out life with a pretty average brain. That means along the way I had to work hard, accept help when it came, and remember to do both.

This website, a response to option 3. It contains a mixture of things that helped me and, by reports, helped students I have coached to reach their academic goals.
